Perplexity AI loses bid to dismiss or transfer News Corp copyright case

Dow Jones and the New York Post are suing AI search service Perplexity in federal court in New York, accusing it of using articles without permission to make money. On August 21, the same district court rejected Perplexity's claims for lack of jurisdiction and transfer to California, and decided to continue the lawsuit.
ダウ・ジョーンズとNYポストは、AI検索サービスPerplexityが記事を無断使用して収益を得ているとしてニューヨーク連邦地裁に提訴している。8月21日、同地裁判事はPerplexity側の管轄権欠如やカリフォルニア州移送の申し立てを退け、訴訟を継続する判断を示した。
